Saturday in Portland was awesome! We began the day with coffee, tea, doughnuts and perfect weather. Then we swung by Seven Corners Cycles to pick up our bikes. Corey and Graham took great care of us and got the bikes roadworthy. It felt great to be back on two wheels, and we spent the afternoon riding around Portland. For lunch, we stopped at the Meddling Lime food cart for some amazing tacos and then Ubered into the city to check out the Japanese gardens. For two people who lived in Asia for so many years, the gardens were a little disappointing, but the view of Mount Hood was spectacular and the weather was perfect for walking in the park.

From Washington Park, we headed back downtown and discovered that the Starlight Parade is going on tonight, with over 300,000 expected to line the streets. Chad asked one of the parade security guards where we could get some good za. His face lit up, he took his sunglasses off and pointed us to Pieology - a restaurant where you get to make your own pizza. It hit the spot.

Back at our air bnb, we finished packing our bags for the start of our adventure tomorrow.
