Wake up call was at 1:25 a.m. for our 6:20 flight from Pittsburgh International Airport to Portland, Oregon. The flight went well and upon arrival, we received an email from BikeFlights.com that our bikes had also arrived safe and sound in Portland. After 12 hours of travel we were tired, hungry, and a bit cranky, so we Ubered to our AirBnB and rested for a bit before hitting the streets to find food. While we were out, we stopped by the bike shop to check on our bikes and grab our extra gear. The staff at Seven Corners Cycles are awesome and should have our bikes ready to go on Friday. Other tasks for Friday include an REI trip, grocery stop, and some sightseeing.

When you’re planning for a trip like this, it sparks many different emotions. We feel anxious for the start of trip, overwhelmed by the magnitude of what we’re about to do, excited for all of the places we will see, and keep wondering if this is crazy and we are crazy for doing this. Oh well, I guess we will find out on Sunday.
